    I believe in a vinegar run as the first for a new still. 1 gallon water, 1 gallon vinegar and run it for an hour or so at full blast while not passing any water through the condenser. That is the way I do it. Would love to hear what every one else does.

    I get that "pro" is short for "professional" but you don't need an apostrophe. Professionals & Pros = more than one professional. Professional's & Pro's = belonging to a pro(fessional). Sometimes when you speak, you hurry past the "i" in "is" so it can also mean a "professional is" something. This makes the most sense in this context because ' is replacing i or it is replacing fessional. Professionals' = belonging to professionals.

    Hello, I will try to make it myself, using your video as a guideline. I wanted to ask, before you put the alcohol and spices in the small distiller, did you mix it with water to like 40%? (I was told to always do that for a second run) Or dit you put the whole liter of 90% alcohol in the distiller without any added water?? Please let me know. I ordered a small distiller so as soon as it comes in I will try this. 😁 Thnx for the info, keep those video’s coming. 👍🏻

    Jesse you need to make a log book. Date, Batch #, details, Character (what's the uniqueness?: wood type, charr, etc.). Then just put the batch # on the barrel/bottle.

I was going to try making a concoction that is mostly frozen concentrate orange juice, sugar (perhaps brown sugar), and lightly spiced and ferment that and then do the air still thing.     I was led to believe that the reason for absinthe's infamy was that the product was often dosed with raw alcohol before sale. The object was to get poor workers wrecked really cheaply. Then they did wild things, which built the infamy. Real absinthe is an acquired taste, and some swear by it. Personally, I found the real thing kind of foul. But hey, that's why Baskin Robbins made more than one flavor.
